    A TRULY RARE FIND TEXACO 1995 SAMPLES BY GEARBOX

I have known about these planes for 12 years but never expected to see them. In 1995 Gearbox was trying to get the contract for the Texaco # 3 Stearman plane in the Wings of Texaco series. They were not successful and Ertl continued making the Texaco planes. These samples never left the company and were forgotten about until their recent discovery. To the best of my knowledge this is the lowest run for any sample(s) that were made making it a unique collectible.
